Rodrigo and I have known each other since sometime in 1989 when we both worked at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. He's from Mexico City, and his family lives in Cuernavaca. I went to Europe with him for the first time in the summer of 1991, and we had a really great time -- seeing all the sights, learning bits and pieces of the languages and cultures, and getting to know each other much better. Somewhere along the way, I decided to adopt him, so technically he's my brother.
Rodrigo recently finished his Masters degree in Public Administration and International Development at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
He has since joined Bio Economic Research Associates (bio-era) as Vice President Strategy & Business Development. You can also read more about Rodrigo and his area of expertise at his own website, the bioeconomy.
He is Daddy Rock. Make no mistake.
This shot was taken in Mexico City near the end of the year in 1995.
From left to right is Matthias Hinke, Rodrigo Zapata (tocayo), Rodrigo Martinez,

ITAM for undergrad with Rodrigo.
